A distanza di 3 anni dall’ottimo debutto tornano i brasiliani Electric Mob.
Capitanati dalle vocals ruvide e melodiche di Renan Zonta (The Voice Brasil 2016), il quartetto conferma quanto di buono espresso con ‘Discharge’; gli arrangiamenti evidenziano nuovamente il lavoro di chitarra tecnico e versatile di Ben Hur Auwarter e le dinamiche imprevedibili ed originali della sezione ritmica Elero-Leister senza compromettere il risultato di ogni singolo pezzo, in qualità di addendi.

Partiamo con “Sun is Falling Down” e, anche per chi non ha avuto famigliarità col debutto, l’istrionismo di Zonta può essere apprezzato nella sua totalità: funzionale, aggressivo e poliedrico.
Si prosegue con la moderna “Will Shine”, sullo stile dell’ultimo George Lynch. La cadenzata “It’s Gonna Hurt” coniuga gli spunti degli Electric Boys con linee vocali duttili.

Echi Skid Row nell’abrasiva “Suddest Funk Ever”; Nelle strofe di “Thy Kingdom Come” la lezione di Sebastian Bach domina pur non esplodendo in una canzone memorabile. Di qualità superiore le Sleazy “Locked N Loaded” e il mid tempo “Soul Stealer”, entrambe riconoscenti alle partiture degli L.A Guns.
Il pinnacolo dei propri intenti commerciali viene raggiunto nella circostanziale “4 letters” (immaginate gli Audioslave più melodici).

A conti fatti la formula del debutto non varia di molto; piuttosto si compatta non dando spazio a slow che talvolta tolgono punti a un disco di sì fatta natura. Nel DNA del gruppo brasiliano l’attitudine a mischiare con estrema naturalezza Sleazy, Glam, Hard moderno con toni di chitarra aggressivi, talvolta cupi, echeggia e rafforza il cammino artistico desiderato.
Pur mancando di un singolo da 90, ‘2 Make You Cry & Dance’ si dimostra fedele al proprio credibile e consistente imprinting, destinato a crescere con gli ascolti.

Three years after his excellent debut, Brazilian Band Electric Mob is back.
Led by the rough and melodic vocals of Renan Zonta (The Voice Brasil 2016), the quartet confirms the good things expressed with ‘Discharge’; arrangements highlight once again the technical and manifold guitar work of Ben Hur Auwarter and the unpredictable and original dynamics of the rhythm section Elero-Leister without compromising the result of each single song.

The Album starts with “Sun is Falling Down” and, even for those are unfamiliar with the debut, Zonta’s histrionics can be appreciated in its entirety: functional, aggressive and polyhedric.
Let’s continue with the modern “Will Shine”, in the style of the late George Lynch. The measured “It’s Gonna Hurt” marries Electric Boys vibes with ductile vocal lines.

Skid Row’s echoes are solid on the abrasive “Saddest Funk Ever”; “Thy Kingdom Come” is not a memorable song but Sebastian Bach’s lesson dominates. The Sleazy “Locked N Loaded” and the mid tempo “Soul Stealer”, both acknowledging the L.A Guns lesson, are absolutely high quality songs.
The pinnacle tip in his commercial aim is reached in “4 letters” (try to imagine the more melodic Audioslave sound).

Then, the debut formula doesn’t change very much; Instead it sounds more compacted also because there is no space for any slow song that sometimes can take points away from a work of this nature. It’s pure attitude the skill to mix Sleazy, Glam, modern Hard waves with extreme naturalness, sometimes through gloomy guitar tones. This way reinforces the desired musical journey.
While lacking a single 90/100 points, ‘2 Make You Cry & Dance’ sounds absolutely credible and shows his consistent imprinting, destined to grow rating by rating.
